The Flower of Life is one of the oldest geometric symbols. While we now use Google to extend our knowledge, symbols were once sources of wisdom and knowledge. Mystics and scientists have spent hours studying its form. And they have made some fascinating discoveries.
They particularly found the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence in the Flower of Life. These are in brief proportions that show how beautiful and perfectly balanced life is.
Why is this symbol so present today? What makes it so attractive?
We are looking for new ways to live in balance with the earth and to live sustainably and in harmony with nature. People are more and more aware of the consequences of working 9 to 5 and they more and more often choose to do what they really want. As far as love is concerned, we are also looking for balance. By first taking care of ourselves we can then connect with someone else.
Sometimes we seek balance on a yoga mat in a quiet and sunny place. Yet deep inside, we are already in balance. Perfect as we are. And when we tend to forget it, the Flower of Life is there to remind us of it.
The Flower of Life does not only push us to find our own balance. It also inspires us to find balance in the connection with others. Just like ‘The Seed of Life‘, this symbol contains the basic elements of any organism. Therefore, The Flower of Life carries the blueprint of life. Whether we are a man or a woman, a human or an animal, insane or just a little disturbed, deep inside we are all the same. We are one. That is why this symbol goes straight to the heart.
In the 1960s, it could have been the perfect hippie symbol. But the movement preferred to opt for a symbol representing the opposition to the bomb. Today, The Flower of Life speaks to all those who want to live consciously and attuned to their hearts.
So the key to a natural balance lies in you. As well as the blueprint through which you are connected with everyone and everything around you.
